The Equus, Waikk's last family-owned and operated boutique hotel, is charming and one-of-a-kind. It offers genuine Hawaiian hospitality at an unbeatable price. The hotel and its rooms are designed with an equestrian flair and furnished with antique east-Asian decor, both of which are reminiscent of Hawaii's paniolo history. Even though this is a rare and peaceful getaway in Waikiki, guests will find that there is a lot to do nearby. They can shop and eat at Ala Moana, one of the largest shopping malls in the country, spend the day in the sun at Magic Island Beach Park, or go sailing at the Ala Wai marina. We also encourage our guests to take the beautiful drive to our sister property, the Hawai'i Polo Club, which is on the North Shore. There, they can watch the seasonal polo matches, take polo lessons, or take a breathtaking horseback trail ride. The Equus is a true hidden gem in the heart of Honolulu that is inviting, timeless, and personable.
